Banquet Server (Part Time)

Job Summary
Set up and service all assigned banquet functions, including preparing for events, clearing spaces, and restocking supplies. Approach guests and employees with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Read banquet event orders, serve according to hotel standards, and respond to guest problems or accidents by referring to management when necessary. Comply with safety regulations, fire rules, and certification requirements such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler training. Perform preparatory and side work duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
