Job Summary
Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting using their name. Anticipate service needs by listening to guest preferences and acting on them, while answering menu questions and checking with the kitchen for clarification. Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell, actively resolving concerns using brand-specific processes. Present accurate checks, process payments adhering to cash and credit policies including gratuity, and record transactions in the system. Set tables according to event type and service standards, maintain cleanliness with clean-as-you-go procedures, and follow alcohol serving procedures. Complete closing duties by storing reusable goods, breaking down equipment, cleaning areas, and finishing the daily checklist. Must adhere to timelines under pressure, follow safety policies, and possess at least one year of server experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of server experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position
- Must be able to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups
- Must be able to work well under pressure
