Job Summary
Assist with event preparation, setup, and cleanup for catering operations at the Altria Theater and Dominion Energy Center. Set glassware, silverware, and dinnerware according to specifications while maintaining clean, sanitary areas throughout events. Serve guests in a professional, courteous manner and ensure all event signage is properly displayed. Break down catering areas post-event and support overall banquet operations under the supervision of the Catering Supervisor or Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10–30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks, including frequent reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended business hours as needed
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty
- Ability to deliver exceptional guest service with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, banquet service standards, guest relations, and hospitality etiquette
- Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items
