Job Summary
Set up catering stations and greet guests with high-quality custom service during all Save Mart Center events. Enforce liquor laws by requesting identification for every guest purchasing alcohol and verify food and beverage inventory. Maintain proper sanitation and safety practices in the work area while performing other related duties as assigned. Requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to take directions and effectively perform the work
- Knowledge and ability to set up and clean up catering stations
- Ability to speak, read and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, clients and employees
- Pleasant personality
- Neat appearance
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of each shift
- Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
- Graduated from High School or the equivalent of the (GED) certificate
- At least 1-year front of house food serving experience in a banquet/catering environment
- Positive, customer service oriented attitude at all times
- Strong knowledge of sanitary practices
- Ability to maintain proper grooming and dress code standards
- Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment
- Ability to work with other staff members in the facility
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks as assigned
- Attention to detail
- Ability to move around the facility
- Ability to stand for long hours during events
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to stoop, reach and lift
- Must be able to lift 30-lbs on a regular basis
