Job Summary
Serve food and beverages to members and guests in a timely, professional manner while ensuring proper temperature and consistent presentation. Maintain guest satisfaction by handling all guest contact activities cordially and efficiently, including communicating special requests or concerns to management. Organize equipment, manage inventories for china, glass, and silverware, and enforce sanitation procedures throughout the function. Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment, storerooms, and areas before and after events. Work as a team with coworkers and other departments to support the Granite Club's Gold level of service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- 1 years related work experience
- Smart Serve Certification
- Good communication skills
- Good working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Well groomed, mannerly, co-operative and outwardly friendly (team oriented)
- Ability to work under periods of extreme pressure
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds
- Able to work split shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good organisational skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Flexible to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must perform a criminal background check
- Must pass a vulnerable sector search demonstrating a satisfactory criminal record
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of P.O.S System, Northstar or equivalent
