Job Summary
Set up rooms and function areas, explain the banquet menu to guests, and assist those with special dietary needs or beverage recommendations. Clear and reset tables, service and tear down bars, and ensure all service areas remain clean and tidy. Provide engaging luxury service to guests while maintaining a safe environment that complies with health, safety, food hygiene, and sustainability policies. Report to the Director, Event Operations, with flexible availability focused on evenings, weekends, and key holidays including Christmas, New Year's Eve, and the Stampede.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexible availability, with a focus on evenings and weekends
- Must be available to work on key holidays, including Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Mother's Day, and during Stampede, as well as other designated blackout dates throughout the year
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, with minimal supervision
- Possesses a warm, caring, and personable demeanor
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Thrives in high-pressure environments
- Must be able to work on key holidays, including Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Mother's Day, and during Stampede, as well as other designated blackout dates throughout the year
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in events or fine dining (serving or bartending) considered an asset
