Job Summary
Prepare tables, lay out napkins and utensils, and refill condiments while staying updated on current menu choices and specialties. Handle table bookings, direct customers to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, and communicate specific customer needs to the cooks. Deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses. Prepare mixed drinks and properly open and pour wine at the tableside. Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and correctly balance server chits and receipts. Perform basic cleaning tasks, fill in for absent staff, and assist with special events. Greet all guests warmly, adhere to grooming standards, and communicate available products and services.
Required Qualifications
- Previous serving experience
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must speak English fluently
- Must be able to write in basic English
- Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
