Job Summary
Supervise banquet associates and coordinate service to ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations. Maintain accurate records for each event and enforce safety rules by conducting periodic inspections to correct hazards. Train new employees, manage adequate staffing levels, and foster a cooperative environment to maximize morale and productivity. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining compliance with banquet event order specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- State requirements (licenses or certificates)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a strong understanding of the English language
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and ensure thorough completion of duties
- Ability to walk and stand during long lengths of time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs
- Push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally
- Climb steps in hotels that do not provide elevators
- Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
