Job Summary
Create exceptional banquet, conference, and event experiences by taking ownership of operations for meetings, weddings, and private functions. Lead planning and delivery of all events while managing operating expenses, analysing performance data, and driving revenue through upselling and commercial initiatives. Coach and develop the Banquets team, ensuring service standards consistently exceed guest expectations and maintaining venues to the highest safety and cleanliness standards. Collaborate with Sales, Events, Kitchen, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution across the hotel's large-scale function rooms and The Apartment. Manage departmental objectives and long-term strategic goals alongside the Associate Director of Food & Beverage.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading banquet or events operations within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar Banquet Manager or Events Operations leadership role
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting and financial performance within Food & Beverage operations
- Understanding of banquet planning, event logistics, service sequencing and operational excellence across a variety of event styles
- Natural leadership ability to inspire, coach and develop high-performing teams
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure
- Confidence to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service standards
