Job Summary
Oversee banquet and catering events as Banquet Manager/Maître D; supervise banquet staff and set up, service, and breakdown for events; collaborate with sales and culinary teams to ensure event details are executed; communicate with clients before and during events to meet expectations; ensure hotel standards, safety, and sanitation compliance; manage inventory and coordinate with vendors; monitor labor and beverage costs and event profitability; conduct post-event evaluations and prepare improvement reports; requires leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; compensation ranges $50,000-$60,000 annually with benefits for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of banquet or event management experience in a hotel, resort, or catering venue
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in event software a plus
- ServSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 60 lbs.
