Job Summary
Banquet Manager at Hillwood Country Club leads and coordinates all day-to-day banquet event services in coordination with the Director of Hospitality, Director of Catering and Events, and Executive Chef. Responsibilities include hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating banquet service staff; creating and managing weekly staff schedules and workflow; ensuring proper stock of operating supplies and equipment; inspecting service areas for sanitation, safety, and quality; handling post-event evaluations to drive improvements; resolving issues and taking disciplinary action when needed; ensuring accurate billing and delivering exceptional member and guest experiences through professional service and presentation standards. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent mix of education/experience) with 3+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality, plus food safety and alcoholic beverage certifications; must be able to work flexible full-time hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year degree college or university; or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort. Country Club experience is preferred.
- Food safety certification.
- Alcoholic beverage certification.
