Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and execute banquet events and functions while managing all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, equipment allocation, and technical arrangements. Supervise and direct banquet staff to ensure seamless service delivery, liaise with clients to understand objectives, and collaborate with culinary teams for menu planning. Monitor banquet budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and conduct pre- and post-event briefings to optimize performance. Ensure compliance with health, safety regulations, handle guest concerns, and maintain detailed event records. Develop revenue strategies and train staff on service protocols. Requires 6-8 years of experience, proficiency in event management software, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in banquet management, event coordination, or hospitality operations
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events and functions
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, catering standards, and service protocols
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising diverse staff
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food service and hospitality
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or Events Management
- Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in a luxury hotel environment or five-star establishment
- Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Hindi or other regional languages
- Experience with revenue management and yield optimisation strategies
