Job Summary
Banquet Manager is responsible for managing member service experiences across banquet facilities, supervising Banquet Captains, Bartenders, and Servers, and coordinating food service between kitchen and service staff. The role emphasizes developing a strong, positive team culture, ensuring consistency and accountability, and achieving safety, service, and financial objectives. Responsibilities include staffing (assigning floorplans, scheduling), training, handling member/guest complaints, enforcing safety policies, maintaining inventories (beverage, china, glass, silver), conducting pre-shift line-ups, managing weekly BEO meetings, and ensuring compliance with local/state alcohol regulations. The candidate should possess hospitality knowledge, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to lead by example, and a commitment to service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent, college preferred.
- Previous upscale serving experience required, preferably in a Club environment.
- Pursuit or attainment of a hospitality degree preferred but not required.
- Verifiable professional references.
- Knowledge of food service principles and procedures.
- Ability to train staff on food, beverage, and wine service.
- Diplomatic team player with leadership abilities.
