Job Summary
Banquet Lead at Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club leads banquet events from setup to post-event review, ensures floorplan accuracy, decor, bar requirements, and service standards, coordinates with servers, kitchen, and facilities, conducts pre-event walkthroughs, trains staff on service standards, liaises between kitchen and staff, communicates guest dietary restrictions, monitors food quality and presentation, completes post-event reports and billing, and performs duties of Server/Asst. Server while adhering to OHSA policies and the club's Well Played service model. Requires 5+ years of serving and prior event/banquet leadership, Food Handler’s and Smart Serve certifications, strong multitasking and communication skills, POS system knowledge, and private-club hospitality experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of serving experience in hospitality-related industry
- experience leading events and banquets
- Food Handler’s certification
- Smart Serve certification
- strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- basic knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to provide high-level customer service during peak periods
