Job Summary
Set up banquet events by arranging tables, chairs, buffet elements, and table settings while ensuring the space remains clean and well-maintained before, during, and after functions. Monitor and deliver prompt, efficient service for all internal and external events, adhering to Forbes 5-star standards and Ocean House core values. Engage guests with friendly conversation, resolve tense situations, and provide a warm farewell. Maintain current knowledge of menu items and preparation methods while following sustainability guidelines and company policies. Work cohesively with the team to uphold the Mission and Values in everyday operations.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure of tense/confrontational situations
- Uphold the Company standards, policies, and procedures
- Prioritize and organize tasks and work area
- Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement as interpreted by the management
- Follow directions
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Maintain confidentiality of guest/employee information and pertinent company data
