Job Summary
Monitor banquet and event spaces to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and property. Verify access credentials, patrol rooms and parking lots, and assist with crowd management during weddings, conferences, and tournaments. Respond promptly to disturbances or emergencies, de-escalate conflicts, and enforce venue policies including alcohol service regulations. Complete detailed incident reports and coordinate with event coordinators and local authorities as needed. Direct venue traffic and monitor surveillance systems when assigned. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on event schedules
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds, if required
- Basic computer skills for completing reports and using security systems
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the employer
- Security officer license or certification, where required by state or local regulations

- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
