Job Summary
Oversee the Banquet Department's daily operations, including setup, service, and cleanup for all events. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and discipline banquet staff while conducting menu classes and ensuring high service standards. Manage payroll, tip distribution, and wage reports; prepare schedules and audit beverage inventory. Coordinate food and beverage requirements with kitchen and catering teams, maintain equipment, and control safety and sanitation protocols. Handle guest requests, process payments, and manage inventory for supplies and liquor. Ensure compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, attend daily briefings and weekly meetings, and cross-train as needed across outlets.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Food Handlers certification
- Alcohol Awareness certification
- CPR & First Aid certification
