Job Summary
Complete set-ups and breakdowns of banquet equipment, including bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, and stanchions, in accordance with the BEO. Assist bartenders with stock and supply breakdowns, then deliver related items from the banquet bar porter in a timely manner. Refresh meeting rooms as required and maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment. Perform physical tasks involving sitting, bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, kneeling, squatting, and grasping. Minimum of six months of prior banquet porter experience preferred, along with knowledge of various banquet set-ups and forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) months of prior experience as a banquet porter
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read English
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to grasp, kneel, stoop, and bend on a regular basis
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of various banquet set-ups (e.g. classroom style, chevron, banquet, reception, etc.)
- Forklift certification
