Job Summary
Maintain food production quality and set up kitchen stations by preparing all menu items according to standard recipes or guest checks while visually inspecting ingredients for optimal cooking. Monitor product storage conditions, rotate inventory to ensure freshness, and keep refrigeration equipment and work areas clean to comply with health regulations. Manage daily supply requisitions using math skills for accurate measurements and portion sizes. Perform general cleaning tasks, maintain dry floors to prevent slips, and execute other duties as assigned. Requires five years of cooking experience, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. Constant standing and frequent walking are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Five or more years cooking experience
- Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on continuous schedule
- Ability to stand and to work continuously in confined spaces
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
- Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of the broiler, sauté, fry, roast, moist heat and other cooking methods
- Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
- Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, etc.
