Job Summary
Prepare food for our guests at Hilton Sandestin Beach banquet events, assisting the Banquet Chef with plate ups, buffets, and receptions. Perform prep work for soups, sauces, vegetables, starches, and manage daily cooler/work-area maintenance and proper food storage. Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment and ensure café items meet quality standards. Work action stations for banquet functions and assist in other outlets as needed. Requires basic cooking knowledge, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency in reading English and banquet orders. Florida Health Certification is required; Culinary Arts Degree preferred. This is a full-time banquet kitchen role with seasonal variation in schedules as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Culinary Arts Degree preferred, or any other combination of training or experience in the culinary arts.
- Basic cooking knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read English and understand banquet event orders.
