Job Summary
Oversee and supervise the full execution of banquet events, including setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring all standards are met. Coordinate room preparation, bus and set tables, and manage buffet areas while guiding servers and support staff through pre-function meetings. Monitor event flow, restock reception zones, and provide timely, customized service to guests. Handle guest concerns using established procedures and maintain accurate shift reports and staff performance notes. Uphold cleanliness, safety, and compliance policies while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. Report attendance issues to management and contribute suggestions for service improvement during staff meetings. Available for weekends, evenings, and holidays; full-time or part-time with benefits including insurance, PTO, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Vocational Certification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a fine dining establishment or upscale hospitality setting
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure environments
- Customer-service driven with a polished, professional demeanor
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of banquet service standards and etiquette
