Job Summary

Review Banquet Event Orders, hold pre-shift meetings, and coordinate food service quality between culinary and service staff. Prepare decorative arrangements, enforce department standards, and delegate duties to team members across events. Execute all catered service styles including buffet, family style, and plated meals while monitoring food waste and contamination. Oversee equipment and physical plant cleanliness, manage small wares and bar items, and assist in training banquet staff. Confer with Conference Sales and Culinary Teams, resolve guest concerns, and ensure all setup, event, and closing tasks are completed. Maintain audio and visual equipment, including speakers, projectors, and screens, while addressing guest technical issues. Create detailed event reports and perform cashier duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic education (high school)
  • two to three years of relevant restaurant or other food service experience
  • Vermont Department of Liquor Control Certification
  • Good basic knowledge of catering and bar operations, including serving tables, hosting, bartending, and cashiering
  • Ability to deal with customers and staff in a courteous and efficient manner as well as impaired guests
  • Work schedule will vary to include days, nights, holidays, and weekends
