Job Summary
Lead the execution of small catered events, including formal banquets, weddings, and intimate dinners, by managing operational details and ensuring success across diverse client groups. Model professionalism while engaging with clients and providing feedback to the student and part-time workforce. Adhere to food and alcohol service standards, protocols, and health codes at all times. Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a culture of belonging and teamwork. Assist in the operational execution of larger events as needed. This role requires regular evening, weekend, and holiday hours, with daily tasks and schedules subject to change.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least three years of experience in a catering or food service industry
- Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Filemaker, or similar database software
- Calendar management programs
- Ability to lift and carry weight up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Basic skills in English including reading, writing, math, and verbal articulation
- Valid NY state driver's license
- Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing
