Job Summary
The Banquet Captain is responsible for leading the set-up and serving of food and beverages for all banquet functions at the hotel, adhering to service standards and ensuring smooth operations. Key responsibilities include conducting daily meetings, maintaining high standards of appearance, training and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience in a banquet or food service role, possess required certifications, and be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Heavy lifting may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Responsible Beverage Service certification required.
- Food Handlers Certification required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Banquet Captain experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Banquet server in a large hotel operation is a must.
