Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of banquet functions from setup to breakdown while serving as the primary contact for meeting planners and hosts. Maintain high standards of guest service by greeting guests warmly, ensuring every dish meets quality expectations, and providing a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Assist with staff hiring, development, scheduling, and training; assign service tasks to servers, and manage daily cash deposits and supply needs for china, glass, and equipment. Ensure cleanliness of front-of-house areas, handle tableside wine service, and communicate kitchen shortages to staff. Fill in for absent personnel as needed while adhering to grooming standards and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- One year of prior experience in food and beverage
- Prior guest service training
- Knowledge of proper food handling
- Strong written / verbal communication skills
- Positive, upbeat attitude / personality
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
- Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
- Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google) / POS systems (Micros)
- Must have some familiarity of basic cooking skills
- Standing/walking for extended periods
- Lifting (25-50 lbs)
- Carrying trays, bending, reaching
- Working in fast-paced environments
