Job Summary
Assist guests with beverage and drink preparation, service the bar and restaurant areas efficiently, and ensure high-quality, caring service. Relate with guests regarding their needs and satisfaction, while demonstrating knowledge of menu items, cocktails, spirits, and specials to aid in beverage selection. Take and place orders into the Micros system accurately, prepare guest checks, and collect payments. Operate, maintain, and clean all bar equipment, ensuring the area remains well-stocked and compliant with Bishop's Lodge/Forbes standards. Adhere to safe food handling procedures and maintain a secure working environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol
- Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in the foodservice/hospitality industry as a Bartender preferred
- Good knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine
- Experience at a luxury hospitality property preferred
