Job Summary
Set up and tear down beverage stations for receptions, lunches, and dinners while ensuring proper alcohol handling and hygiene standards. Serve drinks to guests and manage banquet facilities, including unloading leftovers and maintaining clean storage areas. Prepare and present both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to departmental standards. Work weekends, holidays, and shift work as scheduled, adhering to all safe standards and physical requirements such as lifting up to 30 lbs. Complete any additional duties assigned by your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in written and oral English
- Must have Smart Serve Certification
- Capable of physical duties such as lifting and moving portable bars and cases of liquor
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Will work weekends, holidays and shift work as scheduled
- Must have complete knowledge of the hotel's events, services and facilities
- Must be able to understand and follow through with all banquet event orders
- Must be able to have a complete understanding of preparation and presentation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to adhere to ALL Safe Standards, ensuring all hygiene and prevention measures are being met
- Must be able to adhere to alcohol handling procedures and policies
- Must be able to arrive on duty with proper attire and prepared for shift on time
