Job Summary
Bankruptcy Representative I, full-time hybrid role in Lake Zurich, IL. Oversees bankruptcy processes on assigned loans in accordance with FHA, VA, PMI, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other applicable laws; monitors activity on bankruptcy files, ensures proofs of claim and plans are filed within guidelines, processes cash and vendor invoices, and responds to debtor/investor inquiries. Coordinates with outsourcing firms, maintains regulatory-compliant bankruptcy reports, and ensures timely information flow. Role also includes BK Phone Rep tasks (inbound payments by phone, contact details transfer) and BK Set Up Rep tasks (set up workstation, upload documents, validate foreclosure-related notices) and BK Bill Back Rep tasks (file GSE claims and related forms). Requires strong organization, multitasking, and communication skills, plus willingness to complete annual regulatory training and work in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid PC skills, proficient with Microsoft applications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences
