Job Summary
Experienced Bankruptcy Litigation Secretary for a boutique litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles. Responsibilities include drafting and formatting correspondence, briefs, and other legal documents; timely e-filing with state and federal courts; maintaining attorney calendars via Outlook and Milana; preparing engagement letters and new file opening memos; tracking deadlines and docketing; processing expense reimbursements; reviewing vendor invoices and submitting them for payment; and leveraging MS Office and legal-diling software (Pacer/ECF, iManage, Aderant, Litera) to support efficient litigation workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- 5+ years’ experience as a litigation secretary handling commercial litigation
- Bankruptcy experience
- Strong computer proficiency using Pacer, ECF, iManage or document management system, Aderant, Litera, MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Demonstrated knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes in the Litigation Department, including the ability to mark and generate a table of contents and table of authorities
