Job Summary
Interact with customers in-person and over the phone to address banking needs, answer inquiries, and fulfill sales goals through needs-based conversations. Actively listen to identify complex financial needs, make product recommendations, and refer customers to specialists when appropriate. Educate clients on retail products and digital solutions while ensuring accurate transaction completion and full regulatory compliance. Utilize CRM systems to track issues, resolve customer problems, and maintain detailed interaction records. Authenticate callers to mitigate fraud risks and perform other duties as assigned. Full-time role at 2000 Bernadette Dr, Columbia, Missouri, with a base pay range of $21.40 to $27.65 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience by easily connecting with customers in-person and over the phone
- Ability to meet personal and customer services expectations
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook that is aligned with our culture and Core Value
- Ability to adapt and shift priorities, workflows and schedules due to customer demands
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of retail banking and/or sales experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience
