Job Summary
Interact with customers in person and over the phone to ensure financial needs are met through needs-based conversations and sales fulfillment. Actively listen, understand, and make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales goals. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions while ensuring transactions are completed accurately and efficiently in compliance with policies. Respond to customer calls offering real-time solutions for account management and transactional inquiries, utilizing CRM systems to track and resolve issues. Authenticate callers to protect against fraud and refer complex financial needs to bank specialists when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. This role requires a valid driver's license and 1+ years of retail banking experience. Base pay is $21.40 - $27.65 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Strong sales skills with the ability to provide an excellent customer experience by easily connecting with customers in-person and over the phone
- Ability to meet personal and customer services expectations
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook that is aligned with our culture and Core Value
- Ability to adapt and shift priorities, workflows and schedules due to customer demands
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of retail banking and/or sales experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience
