Job Summary
Break down complex problems into discrete tasks, directing junior consultants to key aspects while effectively planning and executing analysis to craft suitable recommendations. Work side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to deliver results in a cross-functional, high-growth environment. Identify core issues in complex analyses on topics including finance and risk strategy, end-to-end credit transformations, capital accuracy, smart pricing, and artificial intelligence engagements. This Associate role sits within Oliver Wyman's Banking & Financial Services practice, collaborating with European partners to solve complex business challenges for clients globally.
Required Qualifications
- +5 years of relevant experience in Consulting or Banking
- excellent team management
- communication and problem-solving skills
- proficient English and Spanish
- experience on at least one of these topics: Strategy & corporate finance, Transformation programs, strategic plan definition, Finance, Risk & regulation, Digital, data & technology, Operations & cost transformation, Customer & proposition design
- 3-6 years of relevant experience
- ideally with leading consulting firm(s) focused on Financial Services
- experience with banks (General Inspection) or FinTechs
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance, or economics from a top university
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
- Fluent business English and Spanish
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Ability to work under pressure
