Job Summary
Break down complex problems into discrete tasks, directing junior consultants to key aspects while effectively planning and executing analysis to craft suitable recommendations. Work side by side with clients and project teams to move engagements forward, managing small teams to deliver results in a cross-functional, high-growth environment. You will solve complex issues in finance, risk strategy, and capital accuracy, collaborating with Oliver Wyman Data and Analytics specialists on AI and risk modeling projects. This Associate role requires 3-6 years of experience in Banking or Consulting, fluent English and Spanish, and a top-tier degree in finance or STEM. The position is based in Madrid with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite presence at least three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- +5 years of relevant experience in Consulting or Banking
- excellent team management
- communication and problem-solving skills
- proficient English and Spanish
- experience on at least one of these topics: Strategy & corporate finance, Transformation programs, strategic plan definition, Finance, Risk & regulation, Digital, data & technology, Operations & cost transformation, Customer & proposition design
- 3-6 years of relevant experience
- ideally with leading consulting firm(s) focused on Financial Services
- experience with banks (General Inspection) or FinTechs
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in STEM, finance, or economics from a top university
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
- Fluent business English and Spanish
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Ability to work under pressure
