Job Summary
Banking Center Manager oversees the branch’s sales, service, and operations, developing and coaching a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experience, drive deposit and loan growth, and generate referrals. Responsibilities include ensuring staff training on products and policies, maintaining operational controls and regulatory compliance (BSA, CIP, OFAC), monitoring KPIs and branch scorecard metrics, handling customer inquiries, coaching staff through regular one-on-one sessions, performing platform/teller duties as needed, managing new accounts and teller processes, and representing the branch in community initiatives. The role requires leadership, cross-functional collaboration with Wealth/Treasury/Mortgage/Merchant Services/Commercial Banking teams, and a focus on ethical standards, confidentiality, and audit readiness. Community involvement is emphasized and opportunities for career growth within the bank are highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (Business, Finance, Management or related field preferred)
- 2–3 years of direct retail banking experience relating to customer service, sales, and operations
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (coaching, workflow oversight, or mentoring)
- Demonstrated ability to deepen customer relationships and resolve issues with urgency, ownership, empathy, and professionalism
- Proven ability to refer customers to key partners (Wealth, Treasury Management, Mortgage, Merchant Services, Commercial Banking)
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance expectations, and operational risk standards
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to utilize AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, decision-making, coaching insights, and customer service quality
- Ethical standards and confidentiality
