Job Summary
Banking Asset Operations Manager at MachineryMax oversees the recovery, management, and disposition of bank-owned and lender-controlled assets across intake, coordination of repossession/transport/storage, documentation/compliance, valuation, and reporting. Serves as the operational liaison with banks, trustees, and attorneys to support remarketing of heavy machinery, rolling stock, land, and related assets, ensuring asset records are complete, compliant, and auditable in CRM systems.Responsibilities include coordinating agents and logistics, identifying risks and delays, preparing recovery/disposition documentation, overseeing inspections and condition reporting, providing valuation estimates, delivering status updates to banking partners, collaborating with auction/sales/operations teams, and supporting proposal responses to expand the banking and financial services book of business. Requires experience in asset recovery, strong understanding of workflows and documentation, excellent communication, attention to detail, confidentiality, CRM proficiency, and familiarity with industrial equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in asset recovery, financial asset disposition, remarketing, logistics, or auction operations
- Direct experience working with banks, lenders, or financial institutions in an operational or client-facing role
- Strong understanding of recovery workflows, disposition timelines, and documentation requirements including UCC filings, appraisals, and settlement coordination
- High attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and recordkeeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and partner interaction
- Ability to manage multiple active assets and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience with CRM systems and standard business tools
- Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to partner and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with industrial equipment or machinery is a strong plus
- Strong relationship-building skills with banks and financial institutions
- Confidence, professionalism, and persistence when working through complex recovery or distressed asset situations
- Bonus: experience working with debtors or repossession scenarios
- Bonus: American Society of Appraisers (ASA) certification
