Job Summary
Banker, VP role in New York for Citi's Institutional Banking, servicing Japanese corporate clients in the U.S. Responsibilities include originating and structuring transactions, advising on mergers and acquisitions, providing treasury and corporate finance solutions (cash management, trade, FX, derivatives, structured finance), and managing client relationships while ensuring risk/compliance. The position may permit a telecommuting/hybrid work arrangement within a commutable distance from the New York worksite. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), 6 years of relevant experience, and fluency in Japanese; travel up to 25%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in any field
- 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager, Banker, or related position providing strategic advisory services for investment transactions at a global financial services institution
- 6 years of experience must include: risk management; client relationship management for Japanese and global corporate clients; financial analysis for credit evaluation and business opportunity identification; credit policy and processes related to corporate banking; and banking product knowledge including lending, markets, cash management, and trade
- verbal and written fluency in Japanese
- Up to 25% international and domestic travel required
