Job Summary
Execute day-to-day transactional needs of the client base, including opening accounts, check cashing, balancing cash drawers, and processing withdrawals and deposits for consumer and business customers. Proactively cross-sell bank products and services while making qualified referrals to business partners in investments, mortgage, and cash management. Complete the Home Equity application process, communicate on requirements, and follow through to closing. Answer routine and complex questions concerning accounts, products, policies, and procedures, troubleshooting issues to ensure resolution. Utilize Salesforce for customer interactions and demonstrate self-service channels like Online and Mobile Banking. Achieve individual and team sales and service goals by participating in sales promotions. Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security policies while balancing customer relationships and risk. Complete required trainings within established timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Two year degree or equivalent job experience
- Minimum 1 year sales experience in a financial or retail environment
- Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified
- Successfully pass the Level I Business Certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to operate a variety of office equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt, and work in a team environment
- Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions should any problems arise
- High degree of professionalism and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when needed
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate
- Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes
Desired Qualifications
- Two to four years of teller experience preferred
