Job Summary
Conduct high-quality member service and retention activities by accurately processing transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, money orders, and cashier's checks. Provide appropriate advice and counseling to member inquiries while verifying signatures, account ownership, and identification. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and internal controls by maintaining secure inventory control of negotiable instruments and cash. Open and prepare the department for daily operations, process night depository and express drop transactions, and perform departmental audits. Close, balance, and secure the branch, including balancing the coin machine and preparing shipments. Maintain vault combinations and meet personal performance goals. Provide assistance to other departments and branches as required and participate in credit union promotions and community events.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills
- A passion for helping and supporting others
- Cash handling experience in financial institution or retail establishment
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient with computer applications and systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Consistent attendance during scheduled hours
- Monday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons (12:00 pm- 5:15pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am- 1:00pm)
