Job Summary
Conduct high-quality member service by accurately processing transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, money orders, and cashier's checks. Provide appropriate advice and counseling to member inquiries while verifying signatures, account ownership, and identification. Maintain secure inventory control of negotiable instruments and cash, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Open and prepare the department for daily operations, process night depository and express drop transactions, and perform departmental audits. Build relationships with members through outbound calls and sales leads to manage a book of business. Assist other departments and branches as required, participate in credit union promotions, and close, balance, and secure the branch.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills
- A passion for helping and supporting others
- Cash handling experience in financial institution or retail establishment
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient with computer applications and systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Spanish bilingual, preferred
