Job Summary
Process member transactions accurately, including deposits, transfers, and withdrawals, while maintaining daily cash balances and adhering to regulatory procedures. Respond to member inquiries, resolve issues, and cross-sell credit union products based on member needs. Assist with branch opening and closing procedures, including rotating Saturday shifts as required. This part-time role supports CU SoCal's mission of building better lives for members through personalized service and product knowledge. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential for serving the Spanish-speaking community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months cash handling experience in Retail/Service industry
- 6+ months experience in Member/Customer service
- Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management
- Complete understanding and active application the C.A.R.E. 4 Guide expectations and the Brand Communications Standards Accountability Philosophy
- Saturday availability
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts, and services
- Working knowledge in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone including very good active listening skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality service to our Members and working as a team player
- Ability to use knowledge of products, services, and branch operations
