Job Summary
Bank/Zero-hours contract Medical Records Administrator responsible for clerical support in the Medical Records Department, including retrieval, filing, tracking, and extraction of case notes in a GDPR-compliant environment. Duties include recording and tracking the movement of case notes using Trackfile, filing and organizing documents for prompt retrieval, ensuring accurate distribution to wards, clinics, or offices, maintaining case note folders, coordinating with off-site storage, and providing patient information to consultants and wards. Requires good literacy and numeracy, GDPR/Data Protection Act knowledge, IT skills, strong communication and teamwork, with shifts Mon-Fri 8am-6pm and occasional weekends in a private hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Good standard of secondary education with demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills
- Track record of successful delivery in a similar role in an office and/or customer service environment
- Knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection Act
- Computer/IT literate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
