Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive engineering and maintenance services within the hospital to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and contractors. Perform repair, maintenance, or installation of all plant, equipment, systems, and building structure, including planned preventative maintenance, testing, calibration, fault finding, and defect correction. Manage emergency on-call rotations while troubleshooting building and minor electrical systems, water, ventilation, decontamination, and medical gas responsibilities in compliance with HTM recommendations and manufacturer instructions. Prioritize demands against resources and support hospital compliance with changing legislation.
Required Qualifications
- Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with C&G Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical field
- Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
- Significant experience in building services management with a track record of success
- Extensive knowledge of building services
- Able to prioritise demands against resources
- Able to support hospital compliance with changing legislation
