Job Summary
Direct the campus band program across concert, marching, and jazz ensembles; coordinate instructional processes for band students; manage band equipment, uniforms, inventory, and budget; align activities with district policies and district safety procedures; supervise instructional aides; coordinate with booster organization and campus staff/community; prepare students for UIL/TMEA events; engage in professional development and participate in professional organizations supporting music education; communicate program goals and expectations to students, faculty, parents, community, and booster club members; maintain professional demeanor and appearance and adhere to the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements (All Level or Secondary Music education)
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Satisfactory fingerprinting background check (employee-paid)
- Minimum of three (3) years of public school music teaching experience
- Instrumental music experience preferred
