Band - Assistant Director

Job Summary
Lead and direct high school concert bands, teach music education and theory, plan and implement balanced curricula, coordinate rehearsals and performances (including marching, pep, jazz ensembles, and chamber music), assess student progress, manage equipment and inventory, maintain records and communicate with parents and staff, collaborate with grade-level and administration to align with district goals, and travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Must be BA in Music Education with Indiana teaching license and experience with a secondary band program; ability to conduct and accompany students, familiarity with current pedagogy, and strong collaboration and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree in Music Education
- Current Indiana Teacher’s License, in music education
- Experience with a secondary band program, familiarity with current teaching/learning theories for band.
