Baler Operator (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Push empty scrap buggies from the baling area to plant usage zones and exchange with full buggies of scrap foam. Load scrap foam into the baler using hand buttons, activate the machine, and tie off completed bales. Remove finished bales with the squeeze tow motor, move them to scales for weighting and tagging, then transport them to storage. Separate foam types for distinct baling when needed and ensure all bales are tagged with correct weights. Maintain excellent housekeeping, practice proper safety techniques, and complete general area maintenance duties as assigned. Work the 2nd shift Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM with overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions
- Valid driver's license (implied by 'license required' for squeeze tow motor operation)
- Attendance and punctuality
- Ability to observe safety procedures and policies
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to meet productivity standards
