Job Summary
Operate and maintain a baler to compact recyclable materials into blocks for loading and transport. Bale and sort materials from conveyors and bunkers, control bale weight/density, and ensure quality. Perform first-line maintenance and assist with sorting and baling of materials for storage. Operate a mobile plant to load materials into containers and onto curtainsided vehicles. Select and install machine components such as baling wire and cutters using hand tools. Applies to a Plastics Recycling Facility role focused on safe, efficient operation and material processing.
Required Qualifications
- A good knowledge of health and safety
- Previous experience in a similar operational role using machinery is desirable
