Job Summary
Inspect, sort, and bale all waste cardboard and plastic while maintaining balers and compactors clear of trash. Keep the dock area clean, perform general housekeeping, and handle basic maintenance and battery changes for MHE. Operate and clean the sweeper daily. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality while fostering an environment of acceptance and respect. Read and interpret instructional documents, communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, and work independently with minimal supervision. Perform essential physical tasks including walking, standing, and occasionally stooping or kneeling.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and effective organization skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs
- Regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis
