Job Summary
Operate and monitor automated snowmaking equipment remotely and in the field to maximize snow production. Safely operate pumps, compressors, fans, and snowguns while performing routine inspections of pump stations and related infrastructure. Access equipment across the mountain using snowmobiles, snowcats, skis, or snowboards, and perform snow removal with manual tools or machinery as needed. Communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors and collaborate with Mountain Operations departments to support safe resort operations. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all Resort safety policies while working rotating shifts in all winter weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for working outdoors and willingness to work in all winter weather conditions
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn automated snowmaking control systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Current U.S. Driver's License
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs require
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
