Job Summary
Maintain, time, and repair high-speed packaging equipment for baking soda, cat litter, and detergent lines while minimizing downtime. Troubleshoot and adjust pack lines, palletizers, stretch wrappers, and raw material conveyors to meet GFSI and FDA standards. Perform preventive maintenance, fabricate stock parts, and rebuild motors, brakes, and pumps. Track electrical problems on PLCs, execute machine changeovers, and set up lines for vertical startups. Adhere to all safety programs, HACCP principles, and Lock Out Tag Procedures. Work shifts including Thursday through Sunday nights and weekends, subject to overtime. Assist in meeting production quotas and support other department functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum two years Mechanical Experience
- Multi-skilled with strong mechanical aptitude and abilities and a solid electrical background
- Must have a basic proficiency in welding and machining (lathe, mill, drill press, band saw)
- Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Must be self-starting/can work without direction
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently
- Work any shift during the week as well as weekends
- Subject to overtime as needed to meet production demands
