Job Summary
Assist with baking a variety of menu items, frosting and decorating cakes, crafting cake orders, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Perform cashiering, cake crafting, frosting, dishwashing, and baking as needed while operating a point-of-sale system. This entry-level, part-time position requires approximately 20 hours per week with availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The role involves lifting up to 50lbs, prolonged standing, and working in a fast-paced environment with temperature variation due to refrigeration units. Applicants must be 16 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older
- Attention to detail is needed when following recipes, reading tickets, and decorating cakes
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring ingredients, taking inventory, and cash handling
- The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work quickly and efficiently, especially during busy periods or when multiple orders need to be fulfilled simultaneously
- Effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and customers is essential
- Collaboration and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable with new technology and has the ability to operate a point-of-sale system
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
